Posts about Best Buy
So I finally pulled the trigger on an Ultra. Went to Best Buy to grab it. I verified that they had the one I wanted, orange alpine. When I tried to buy it, and the nice young man went to get it from a manager for me, his manager told him that Best Buy could not sell a cellular watch without activating the cellular plan. I pushed back a little bit but stayed polite to the guy since he was only relaying what his manager told him. As much as I hated to do it, I pulled the whole speak to the manager BS. When my guy went back to play messenger again, the manager relented to sell it without cellular, but not before incorrectly telling my nice clerk dude that a cellular watch wouldn't work unless cellular was activated and that's why Best Buy has the rule. I told my dude I promise you that's not the case, and I thanked him for being polite and he thanked me for staying polite as well. He showed me how to send a compliment report him for being helpful as well as a complaint on the uninformed manager for being wrong and potentially turning away sales. I decided that I've worked too much retail to do anything except give my dude a good report for being so nice and helpful. I'm not really whining about anything because it came out okay. Just thought I'd share.
